WHIO reporter Andy Sedlak left the Cincinnati CBS affiliate and the business last night.
“They say all good rides come to an end,” he wrote on Facebook yesterday. “Well, this train’s pulling into the station. Today will be my last with channel 7. It’s very bittersweet. I’ve accepted a job outside the business and while I’m eager to make my way, I also want to pause and reflect.”
Sedlak started at WHIO in 2012. He started his journalism career as an education reporter with the Middletown Journal.
Over at WKEF, chief meteorologist Jeff Booth told viewers Wednesday night was his last broadcast on the Dayton ABC affiliate.
“It’s been a pleasure getting to know and serve the great people in the Dayton community,” said Booth. “As to my future plans, I can’t really get into that right now. All I can say is that I’m exploring other opportunities.”
Booth has worked at the station since 2009. He started his career at WOAY in Oak Hill, W.V. then moved to WLIO in Lima, Ohio in 2003. IN 2007, he moved to Hawaii to work at KGMB.
