Bruce Lindsay, who has been a fixture at the KSL anchor desk since 1978, announced today that he plans to retire from the Salt Lake City NBC-affiliate later this year.
“Thirty-six years is a good long time to have worked at one place,” Lindsay said in a statement. “I am indebted to KSL for providing me with great friends and opportunities. So, there is much I will miss. But it’s time to squeeze in some other life experiences.”
Since joining KSL in 1974, Lindsay has won an Emmy as well as several awards from the Utah chapter of the SPJ and the Utah Broadcasters Association.
In addition to anchoring KSL’s evening newscasts, Lindsay is the host and executive producer of “Sunday Edition with Bruce Lindsay,” a weekly public affairs show.
He is set to retire this summer.
