Brooke Brower, who joined CNN last August in the political unit, has been named managing editor of CNN Politics.
Currently a senior producer with the TV network’s political unit, Brower spent 11 years at MSNBC as executive producer for Chuck Todd’s Daily Rundown and Meet the Press Daily as well as a producer for Hardball.
CNN Digital Politics’ executive editor Rachel Smolkin says the move “represents an important next step in fully integrating digital, newsgathering and television — and in building for an exciting and ambitious future.”
Current managing editor Zach Wolf will oversee programming and the quick-takes and data visualization teams, while Steven Sloan, managing editor for content, will now oversee long-form enterprise reporting.
