BBC Reporter Overcome by Emotion While Live in Paris

A raw moment of emotion on the BBC this morning, as correspondent Graham Satchell reported for the network’s morning show, BBC Breakfast. “The Eiffel Tower was lit up in red, white and blue which I think is a sign of hope,” he said, before his voice cracked, momentarily unable to continue. “Sorry, so sorry,” he said.

Satchell has been covering nightly vigils in Paris, and was reporting live from the Place de La Republique, covered with flowers and hand-written notes. Throwing it back to the studio in London, Satchell walked out of frame, shaking his head:
