An insider asks: “Will the real Jon Klein stand up?” Earlier this week, in an interview with Bloomberg, the CNN/U.S. president “said it may take 18 months before his changes pay off with ratings improvements.”
But on April 30, Klein told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Mike Tierney: “About a year from now, we should be able to establish consistent ratings growth.”
“Which is it — one year or 18 months…or is it 18 years?,” the insider asked. “No wonder Jon is asking for more time considering his six months of programming changes have led to nothing but ratings failure. Then again, he could be begging for more time simply because he feels Joel Cheatwood‘s footsteps close behind him…”
