Ad Tracking Company iSpot.tv Raises $21.9M in Series B Funding Round

iSpot.tv – the company that provides us with our weekly Top 10 most engaging ads chart – today announced a $21.9 million Series B funding round led by Insight Venture Partners.

iSpot.tv tracks TV ads in real-time and allows customers to monitor social actions, search activity and online video views associated with TV spots. The company intends to use the funding mainly to accelerate product development and hiring.

“Brands want to become more responsive with their TV campaigns and our data is the first stop,” said iSpot.tv founder and chief executive, Sean Muller. “TV is changing rapidly and we are excited to bring on investment partners that share our vision for the future of TV and its measurement.”

Since being founded three years ago, iSpot.tv has grown to over 60 employees and boasts 150 clients. Its website features a library of over 100,000 TV ads, and attracts more than 5 million monthly visitors.
