Several celebrities and authors have shared lists with their favorite books for a New York City-based curated bookstore called One Grand. One of the participants is Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton.
Refinery29 has revealed the 12 books on Swinton’s list. Some of her selections include Patrick Dennis’ Auntie Mame, Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, and Norman MacCaig’s The Many Days.
For Swinton, MacCaig’s poetry collection was chosen because “Doubleness is a Scottish art: Passion and Calvinism; the west and the east; the highlands and the lowlands. MacCaig embraces this split with true affection and verve.”
