Henry Holt editor-in-chief Marjorie Braman made the announcement today. Blake has spent 16 years in publishing, editing at Bloomsbury and Scribner. Over the course of her career, she edited Russell Brand’s “My Booky Wook,” Elizabeth Kolbert’s “Field Notes from a Catastrophe,” and Adrian Nicole LeBlanc’s National Book Critics Circle Award finalist, “Random Family” (pictured).

EIC Braman had this statement: “Gillian brings a discerning eye and the kind of editorial enthusiasm which has made her beloved by her authors and highly respected in the industry … Blake will focus on acquiring high profile nonfiction titles for the Henry Holt list.”
