Black Panther (GalleyCat)Chris Sprouse has come on board to create artwork for Marvel’s Black Panther series. Ta-Nehisi Coates will stay on as the writer.

Brian Stelfreeze illustrated the first four issues of this comic book series. Sprouse’s illustrations of T’Challa and the world of Wakanda will first appear in the fifth issue which is set for release in August 2016.

In an interview with the Marvel team, Sprouse explained his thoughts on the titular superhero: “I love the mystery and nobility of the character, both of which I’m striving to get across in how I draw both T’Challa in his civilian guise and when he’s in his Black Panther costume. When he’s in costume, I’ve been trying to give him the feel of an actual big cat: sleek and self-assured, but with the potential to spring into action at any second.”
