California Library Offers Books on Bikes

A library system in Northern California has introduced three new bike book mobiles into its fleet of mobile book outreach.

The mobile libraries in Yolo County, Sacramento are aimed at getting kids to read and check out books in communities that lack access to libraries. The Sacramento Bee has the scoop:

To kids, the bikes look like they could be selling ice cream – and they sound that way, too, with a bell that attracts curious families, according to Woodland Library Services Director Greta Galindo.
