We’ve already reported that Eric Pakurar joined G2 as head of strategy/planning for the U.S., but lost in the shuffle was Andy Semons, who we hear was hired weeks prior to Pakurar as executive director, strategic planning. Semons will oversee the planning teams for G2 USA’s relationship marketing practice in New York and San Francisco, and will lead strategy for RM clients in the financial services, health care, and technology sectors.
That’s fine and dandy but interestingly enough, a spy informed us this morning that Semons, a Wunderman alum who led strategic planning at the shop in New York and Y&R brands in San Francisco, was left out of the releases. Why? Apparently AgencySpy comment threads rub someone who shall remain nameless the wrong way according to our source. We’re just trying report the news, that’s all, but alas, we’re often guilty by association. *Sigh*.
Update: We’ve had two sources tell us that our site’s been blocked at G2. Shame that it had to come to this if so.
Update 2: G2 is denying that we were blocked.
