Draftfcb Chi Promotes Shuttleworth to CSO

By Kiran Aditham

Guess racking up 14 years of tenure has paid off for one Jamie Shuttleworth, who has been promoted to chief strategy officer at Draftfcb Chicago. The new CSO, who initially joined Draft as an account planner (but actually started out in 1993 at Y&R), previously held the similarly titled post of chief strategic planning officer for five years and became part of the leadership team under president Michael Fassnacht during that so-called “realignment” stage.

Shuttleworth’s successor is Karl Turnbull, currently EVP, group director of strategic planning, who joined FCB’s planning department in 2005. Before joining what was then Foote Cone & Belding, Turnbull had a stint at JWT as senior partner, group planning director for clients including Kraft, Miller Brewing and Heinz.
