Cincinnati Fox affiliate WXIX has hired a replacement for morning anchor Jacki Jing, who was ousted by the station in August. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports Wichita anchor Kara Sewell will join co-anchor Rob Williams starting December 8:
Sewell will move to Cincinnati after November sweeps to work with Williams, meteorologist Frank Marzullo and traffic reporter Denise Johnson.
“She gelled instantly with Rob, Frank and Denise. We think she will be a tremendous addition to the Cincinnati morning landscape,” said Bill Lanesey, vice president and general manager, in the station’s announcement.
Her KWCH-TV bio says she “even tried her hand at doing the weather and appeared on a reality show” before going to Wichita in 2008.
