Thursday, during extended snow coverage, WUSA reporter Scott Broom locked his keys in what the station calls the “mobile newsroom.” He also left the engine running.
Broom did his live report using one of the cameras inside the car by talking through the driver’s side window. The station says a local cop came by and helped Broom out of his predicament.
Broom told anchors Jan Jeffcoat and Lesli Foster he stepped out of the car to get the ice off the wipers.
