Terre Haute, Ind., NBC affiliate WTWO said it has renewed the contract of anchor Dana Winklepleck for another five years.

Winklepeck started working at the station in the nineties as an assignment editor. The station said she is “among Wabash Valley’s most prolific, trusted, and well-known journalists.”

“In and out of the studio, Dana has proven to be an outstanding journalist,” said Tim Sanders, vice president and general manager of WTWO-WAWV. “The wonderful personality that you see on TV is what it’s like to work with her each day. Dana proves year after year her continued dedication to WTWO and the Wabash Valley. I’m excited to have an award-winning journalist on our team for another five years.”

“I’m grateful that for more than 25 years viewers in the Wabash Valley have invited me into their homes and I’m excited to continue my career at WTWO,” said Winklepeck. “As a journalist, I’ve covered stories of devastation and triumph and met some amazing people along the way. I look forward to covering even more stories that are important, relevant, and interesting.”
