WTVJ Anchor Gets Skype Seat at WH Press Briefing

By Kevin Eck

WTVJ anchor Jackie Nespral was chosen to ask a question via Skype at today’s White House press briefing.

Given the uncertainty of Trump’s approach to foreign affairs, the anchor for the Miami NBC-owned station asked press secretary Sean Spicer about Cuba. Miami is home to the largest Cuban American community in the U.S.

“Has there been any contact between your administration and the Cuban government,” asked Nespral. “Are there any plans to change the current policy?”

Spicer told Nespral that while the president is committed to an agenda ensuring human rights around the world, he didn’t have any answer for her.
