Chattanooga ABC affiliate WTVC has named an anchor team for its weekend morning newscast, which will launch next month: anchor Lauren St. Germain(pictured), meteorologist Jason Disharoon and reporter Betsy Goldin.
“We waited to expand Good Morning Chattanooga on Saturday and Sunday until we could do it right – right in terms of staffing, right in terms of resources,” general manager Mike Costa said in a statement. “To do that, it means expanding our news staff – to have a dedicated team focused on producing a weekend morning newscast that will be fresh and useful. That’s what we’ve done: a great new team, for a great new show.”
St. Germain joins WTVC from WTVY in Dothan, Ala., where she anchored the 9 p.m. newscast. Goldin most recently worked at WJHG in Panama City, Fla., where she was a producer and reporter on the noon newscast. Disharoon, currently WTVC’s weekend meteorologist, has worked at the station since 2011,
