WRTV Appoints New General Manager

WRTV has a new vice president-general manager.

Effective January 8, Lana Durban Scott will oversee the Scripps owned station in Indianapolis.

“Lana is a strong news leader with a keen business acumen that will serve WRTV employees and audiences well,” said Brian Lawlor, president of Local Media for Scripps. “She is a natural leader with proven abilities to effectively encourage collaboration.”

Durban Scott started in executive producing roles before movin to corporate roles. She’s won top investigative reporting honors including DuPont, Peabody and Murrow awards. She also has served in interim management roles at WEWS in Cleveland, KMTV in Omaha, Nebraska, and WCPO in Cincinnati.

Durban Scott earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from John Carroll University. She is a board member for St. Vincent DePaul.
