John Martin (pictured left) is joining Chattanooga, Tenn., NBC affiliate WRCB as morning anchor.
Martin last worked as a communications specialist for the mayor of Colorado Springs, Colo. He’s also worked at KXRM in Colorado Springs, WBIR in Knoxville, Tenn., and RIVR Media.
The station says he’ll join LaTrice Currie and meteorologist David Karnes sometime in mid-June.

Martin is familiar with the Chattanooga area, having lived or visited the Chattanooga area his whole life.
“Even though this is considered a move to a new city, coming back to Chattanooga feels like coming back home. I’m excited to rediscover this town. I’m excited to meet its people. I’m excited to be a part of it and I just can’t wait to get there.”
