Washington, D.C. NBC owned station WRC is teaming up with local FM station WTOP.

The two stations promise to collaborate during breaking news coverage and say their partnership will “provide comprehensive coverage of news, weather and traffic on television, on the radio, and on digital and mobile devices.”

The WRC meteorologists will broadcast regular weather updates on WTOP, while both station’s journalists will cross platform lines to show up on each other’s newscasts.

Jackie Bradford, president and GM of WRC said, “This partnership will serve people throughout the Washington area well by delivering them the most up-to-date local news, information and weather.”

“WTOP and NBC4 are committed to serving the needs of our community with timely, accurate news from the most trusted teams of journalists in the nation’s capital,” added WTOP SVP and GM Joel Oxley.
