WRAL Adds Extra Hour to Fill Steve Harvey Void

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

WRAL’s sister station, Fox50, is adding an extra hour of morning news to its weekday lineup in Raleigh, N.C.

Right now, the station airs morning news from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Starting June 3, WRAL anchors Ken Smith and Lena Tillet will anchor the new hour from 9 to 10 a.m.

The new show means that Smith will leave his weekend evening anchor spot. He’s been with the station since 1998.

Julian Grace will take Smith’s place. He joined the station from WISH in Indianapolis
