WNEP Swaps Meteorologists

By Mark Joyella

Scranton ABC affiliate WNEP is changing its chiefs, with Kurt Aaron moving from the 10 and 11 p.m. weather anchor role to noon, 4, 5, and 6 p.m. and picking up the title chief meteorologist.

Aaron takes over the chief’s role from Tom Clark, who retires today after taking a Tribune buyout after 34 years.

WNEP news director Carl Abraham told TV News Check the evening weather forecasting duties will fall to John Hickey, who arrives January 9 from WPTZ in Burlington, Vermont.
