Katie Harden has been named co-anchor of the 5:30 p.m. news on CBS affiliate WNCT and 10 p.m. newscast on its CW affiliate.
Starting Monday, Harden will join Ken Watling and chief meteorologist Jerry Jackson as co-anchor. Angela Green will stay on as co-anchor of the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts.
“We’re thrilled to have Katie join Angela and Ken as part of our weekday evening anchor team,” said news director Stephanie Shultz. “She’s a strong journalist with a great personality who loves telling the stories of Eastern North Carolina.”
She started at the Greenville, N.C. station as a reporter before being named weekend anchor last year.
