WNCN’s Wes Hohenstein Swallows a Moth During Live Forecast

By Merrill Knox

WNCN chief meteorologist Wes Hohenstein was delivering the forecast last week when he got a taste of something unexpected.

Hohenstein was doing the forecast for the WNCN nightly news when a small moth, just barely visible to the viewer, flew into his mouth (video above).

“I was going to swat it away, but I thought, ‘oh, that would not be appropriate for TV,'” Hohenstein said as he attempted to regain his composure. “I guess it’s more appropriate to swallow it.”
