WNBC Announces Anchor Change at 6 PM, Team for New 4 PM

Chuck Scarborough has a new co-anchor on the WNBC 6 p.m. newscast.

Sibila Vargas will be replaced by relative newcomer Natalie Pasquarella at 6. Scarborough and Pasquarella will be joined by chief meteorologist Janice Huff and sports anchor Bruce Beck.

Vargas joins David Ushery and Huff for the 5 and will continue to co-anchor with Scarborough, Huff and Beck at 11 p.m.

The New York NBC-owned station also announced its anchor team for its soon-to-be-launched hourlong newscast at 4 p.m.

Beginning June 13, Natalie Pasquarella will join Stefan Holt and weather anchorDave Price.

Pasquarella has been reporting weekdays and anchoring weekend evenings for WNBC since she arrived last fall from WSOC in Charlotte, N.C. Holt will join the station in mid-April from WMAQ in Chicago in April.
