WVUE assistant news director Greg Phillips is moving from New Orleans to the Raycom owned station in Memphis.
Phillips will be the new news director at WMC, the NBC affiliate.
“Working during Hurricane Katrina witnessing the devastation and covering the rebirth of New Orleans helped me truly understand the public service aspect of journalism,” said Phillips.

Phillips started in New Orleans behind the scenes. He then moved to Austin and Phoenix before returning.
He starts his new role on February 12.
