WMC has named a new general manager and vice president.
Jonathan Mitchell will oversee the Raycom-owned NBC affiliate in Memphis, Tennessee, he’s the former vice president of news for KNTV, the NBC owned station, in San Francisco.
“Jonathan has spearheaded the creation and production of content for news, sports and entertainment, driving consumers, engagement and ratings,” said Nick Simonette, Raycom Media group vice president.

Mitchell previously worked as a news director and marketing director in Spokane, Washington, a news director in Toledo, Ohio and executive producer in Cincinnati.
He’s coming from ExiteM in Sunnyvale, California where he has been working as an adviser and consultant.
