Megan Mitchell is leaving Cincinnati to work at WFAA in Dallas.
Mitchell has worked as an anchor and reporter at Cincinnati NBC affiliate WLWT since 2016. She also has nearly 2 million TikTok followers.
“BIG LIFE UPDATE: I’m moving to Dallas, Texas in January!!!” Mitchell wrote on Facebook. “I am going to be an anchor/reporter for the weekday morning show at the ABC affiliate, WFAA! I got into this business to make an impact and with this opportunity I am going to be joining and learning from a top notch team of amazing storytellers in the 5th biggest news market in the country.”
She also said WFAA will allow her to focus “specifically on LGBTQ+ stories in Texas during a time when a number of pieces of legislation and rhetoric are hitting the state.”
