WLKY in Louisville will reveal its revamped weekend newscast.

Starting Saturday, viewers of the CBS affiliate’s weekend news will see new anchor Madeline Carter joining regular weekend anchor Shaquille Lord and meteorologist Susanne Horgan.

The station said the new anchor team coincides with a new Saturday morning line-up. WLKY Saturday Morning News will air from to 5 to 7 a.m., followed by CBS Saturday Morning from 7 to 9 a.m. and another hour of WLKY local news and weather from 9 to 10 a.m.

Carter joins WLKY from KNDU-KNDO in Tri Cities, Wash., where she was an anchor and reporter for the weekday morning news. She replaces Lauren Adams who moves to evenings with Drew Gardner.

Lord has worked at WLKY since 2019 as a reporter and weekend anchor.

“Madeline and Shaquille are two energetic, positive individuals who really enjoy serving their community as local journalists,” said WLKY news director Andrea Stahlman. “I’m excited to have them join Susanne Horgan on the weekend morning newscasts. I’m also really looking forward to reaching a new audience in the 9am hour on Saturdays, just as we do Monday through Friday.”
