WKBN News Director Mitch Davis Leaving Station for Health Reasons

WKBN news director Mitch Davis is leaving the Youngstown, Ohio CBS station for health reasons.

Davis announced the news on social media, saying “This week, I made the difficult decision to step away from my career and News Director position in Youngstown. After more than 30 years in the television news business, it is clear that I must take additional time to focus on my own health and healing, free from the stressors of daily responsibilities to a newsroom. I already have another heart procedure scheduled this week at The Cleveland Clinic.”

Davis started working at WKBN and WYTV in 2013 as the assistant and interim news director according to his LinkedIn. He was named news director in 2014.
