Brian Basham has been named chief meteorologist at Charlotte Fox-owned station WJZY.
Basham will begin working on the Sunday through Thursday 6 and 10 p.m. shows starting October 27.
“I wanted this job before it was even available,” said Basham. “I have family here and know what a great city Charlotte is and that this is the place I want to be.”

He comes from WHBQ in Memphis, Tenn. Before that he worked at KGUN in Tucson and KTSM in El Paso, Texas.
