WJBK Morning Anchor Leaving Station

Carman WJBK croppedKam Carman is leaving Detroit FOX owned station WJBK.

WJBK news director Kevin Roseborough said in a statement, “We want to thank Kam for her dedication and hard work during her tenure with WJBK. We appreciate all of her efforts over more than two decades and wish her the very best in all that is ahead of her.”

About her departure, Carman said, “I’m very sad to leave FOX 2. I have had a great 23 ½ -year career there, but it’s time for me to pursue other opportunities. I am very much looking forward to this next stage in my life – Kam 2.0.”

Before coming to WJBK in 1991, Carman was an on-camera meteorologist for The Weather Channel. She started her career at KNAZ in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The station said it plans to air a retrospective of Carman’s career during the 10:00 a.m. newscast tomorrow.
