Milwaukee ABC affiliate WISN has named live desk anchor Mallory Anderson the new co-anchor of WISN 12 News This Morning, the weekday morning newscast from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m.

Anderson will work with Gerron Jordann, meteorologist Lindsey Slater and reporter Matt Salemme in News Chopper 12.

“Mallory’s an award-winning journalist and an exceptional storyteller” said Jan Wade, president and general manager of WISN. “We are so excited to have her join Gerron as co-anchor of our morning newscast. She’s been a staple at our station delivering breaking news and live updates each morning, and we’re thrilled that she’ll be using those talents at the main anchor desk.”

Anderson joined WISN in November 2022 as the live desk anchor on the morning newscast. She takes over for Diana Gutiérrez who moved to the ‘WISN 12 News at 10:00 p.m.’ alongside Patrick Paolantonio.

“It’s truly an honor to step into this role. My passion for journalism started when I was a young child in Michigan, watching our local news every day,” said Anderson. “Just as I experienced growing up, it’s so important that people are connected to the stories, news, and information that has a real impact on their lives. My new position helps me do exactly that! Milwaukee has become home, and I’m so grateful this area has embraced me. WISN 12 News is made up of the best journalists in the business, and I’m thankful to be a part of this team that continually leads the way.”

Before joining WISN, Anderson worked at KRDO in Colorado Springs, Colorado and WILX in Lansing, Michigan, in a variety of roles including anchor, reporter, and managing news editor. She started her career at WLUC in Marquette, Michigan, as a weekend anchor and reporter.
