Will Dana King Come Back to KPIX?

By Kevin Eck

Former KPIX anchor Dana King may want back in. King left the station and local TV in 2012 to start her art career.

San Francisco media blogger Rich Lieberman reports sources tell him King would “strongly” consider a return to the CBS-owned station “if the situation was right.”

She made a run for the Oakland City Council last year. She lost. SFGate reported last February that King “has moved from a houseboat in Sausalito to a shared artists building in Oakland’s San Antonio neighborhood.”

She has been pursuing her sculpture art, teaching journalism at Dominican University in San Rafael and volunteering with the Alameda County Probation Department.
