Shane Ewing is leaving Wichita, Kansas ABC affiliate KAKE and getting out of local TV>
“It’s especially difficult to say ‘goodbye’ when I’ve had the opportunity to be the first person to say ‘hello’ in the morning to so many people who watch our show,” he said. “I never had a bad day at work, because my days always started with such a unique positive energy.”
Ewing joined KAKE in 2011 as sports director. He was named morning anchor in 2015. His last broadcast will be on June 5.

The station said Ewing will remain in Wichita and work as a financial advisor for Edward Jones.
