WGCL Makes Six New Hires

WGCL, the CBS affiliate in Atlanta, has made six new hires under the director of its newest news director, Steve Doerr.

The station announced the following reporters, producers and managers will join the team:

Jonathan Carlson joins CBS46 News as the Chief Investigative Reporter. Carlson comes from WXYZ-TV in Detroit where he was an Investigative Reporter.

Alicia Roberts
joins CBS46 News as a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). Roberts comes from the Atlanta Braves where she was an on-air talent.

Jasmina Alston joins CBS46 News as a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). Alston comes from WBMA-TV in Birmingham, AL where she was a MMJ.

Jennifer Whalen
joins CBS46 News as a Producer/Writer/Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). Whalen comes from CNN/HLN where she was a Producer.

Phil Landeros joins CBS46 News as Senior Executive Producer. Landeros comes from WOFL-TV in Orlando, FL.

Howard Dorsey
joins CBS46 News as Dayside Executive Producer. Dorsey has worked at stations in Charlotte, Houston, New York, Raleigh, Philadelphia and Dallas.

TVSpy reported when Doerr joined the station this Summer. He replaced Frank Volpicella after less than a year at the station.
