Atlanta CBS affiliate WGCL has launched an investigative reporting team.

The team is made up of Sally Sears, Karyn Greer, Art Harris, Harry Samler, Sharon Reed and Ben Swann.

Sears has worked at both WSB and WAGA in Atlanta. Greer worked at WGCL as an anchor for ten years before working at WXIA. Harris has been at WGCL since August. He’s worked at The Washington Post and CNN. Samler has worked at WGCL for ten years. While Reed and Swann are anchors at the station.

The team is lead by CB Hackworth who started in June as executive producer of Special Projects.

“It’s a team with not only years of television reporting experience but a team with a number of years in the Atlanta market,” said WGCL news director Larry Perret. “They have contacts and sources that will help us do some incredible investigative work.”

Swann still has the investigative franchise he started while at WXIX in Cincinnati called Reality Check with Ben Swann. He also has the Truth in Media Project, which he started after leaving WXIX.
