CB Hackworth is joining Atlanta CBS affiliate WGCL as executive producer of special projects.
“We’re going to put stories on the air that actually make a difference, and we’re not going to waste your time if you watch,” said Hackworth. “Good reporting involves a lot more than chasing somebody across a parking lot with a camera. It’s about being able to tell viewers important things they wouldn’t otherwise know — and the way we do that is to put in the long hours necessary to dig up buried facts, even when some want those facts to stay buried.”
Hackworth has created over 25 documentaries with former UN Ambassador and two-time Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young. Before that, he was special projects producer at WXIA and worked at WSB twice in his career, once at its start in 1987 and again from 1997 to 2005.
