WFXT_304WFXT says it’s not done beefing up its ranks for the new year.

Lee Rosenthal, news director for the Boston FOX affiliate, told TVSpy he’s hired Sara Underwood as a full timer. She’ll anchor with Gene Lavanchy from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Daniel Miller joins the station from WISH in Indianapolis. He will anchor with Sorboni Banerjee from 4:00 to 6:00 a.m. New England One reports Banerjee has been anchoring the station’s 5:00 p.m.

Part time reporter Jessica Reyes is now a full time reporter who will work on the morning news. The station also gets reporter Robert Goulston, who is joining WFXT from WFSB in Hartford.

“We are committed to investing in our people and newsroom,” Rosenthal said. “We are not close to done in terms of the staff and resources that we are adding with a number of other new hires and equipment upgrades expected in February and March.”
