WFTV Anchor Greg Warmoth Out of Surgery After Lip Cancer Diagnosis

By Kevin Eck

WFTV anchor Greg Warmoth is on the mend after a two hour surgery to remove lip cancer.

The anchor for the Orlando ABC affiliate announced on Wednesday that he had been diagnosed with squamous cell lip cancer and would undergo surgery to remove it.

“Dad just finished his two-hour procedure and his surgeon told us all of the cancer has been removed! He had a great team at AdventHealth Celebration taking care of him,” his son Justin posted to social media. “As for his recovery, he gets the stitches out next week, and over the next few weeks/months the nerves will come back to his new lip. The hardest part will be cutting back on talking. We’ve already had to remind him a several times.”
