WFTS anchor Linda Hurtado, who announced on Tuesday that she has breast cancer, is now recovering from a successful double mastectomy operation.
Hurtado’s husband Jorge has been updating her Facebook page this week, letting friends, family, and fans know how she is doing. According to his recent posts, Wednesday’s operation went “better than expected” and Hurtado will not have to undergo chemotherapy or radiation.
“Linda has been up and out of bed twice to take short walks,” Jorge wrote this afternoon. “We spent the morning with me reading her all of your posts, emails and texts. We have cried and smiled a lot.”
