WFAA Swaps Weekend Meteorologists

Dallas-Ft. Worth ABC affiliate WFAA has dropped weekend morning meteorologist Wes Houx, replacing him with Kyle Roberts, who arrives in Dallas from KOKH in Oklahoma City.

Dallas media reporter Ed Bark reports Houx had been working part time, but will be replaced by the full-time Roberts, who starts this week. Bark describes the move as the latest in a “personnel merry-go-around” at WFAA, which had its worst November sweeps in years:

TEGNA8 also recently hired meteorologist Jesse Hawila to replace weekend P.M. weathercaster Ashton Altieri, who left the station in August and now is with Denver’s KCNC-TV. Last month, TEGNA8 lost sports reporter Ted Madden, a 14-year veteran who excelled at covering high school sports.
