WFAA‘s morning social media reporter was celebrating more than Pi Day today.
Kezhal Dashti has been cancer-free for five years.
On Twitter she posted a photo of her ringing the bell after she finished her last round of chemo and a photo of her at the station.
“I’m so happy I’m healthy and back home in the beautiful #DFW,” she wrote.
A special #tbt for me.
I’m officially “cancer free.” 💪🏽

What came next though took Dashti by complete surprise. Her morning team surprised her by inviting her family to the live show to celebrate her anniversary.
“I have the best job and coworkers EVER,” she wrote.
