West Virginia Anchors’ Bios No Longer on Station Site

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

It appears the two West Virginia anchors involved in a bar fight that got nationwide attention are no longer working for the Gray-owned TV station.

WSAZ has scrubbed the bios of anchor Erica Bivens and meteorologist Chelsea Ambriz. Both still have active social media pages.

Bivens posted an update about her condition on August 31. Ambriz has remained silent along with the station regarding the incident.

Ambriz was charged with misdemeanor battery after getting into a fight with Bivens at a local bar on Sunday, Aug. 23.

According to police reports, Ambriz attacked Bivens after Bivens confronted her for hitting on her husband. Bivens, who anchors the station’s 4 and 10 p.m. shows, suffered a ruptured eardrum and skull fracture when Ambriz shoved her to the ground.

Ambriz is due in court on Sept. 21.
