WESH has hired hometown girl Jaclyn DeAugustino to lead traffic reports in the morning.

DeAugustino returns to the Orlando, Fla., station where she started as an intern. She’s coming from WCPO in Cincinnati.

“It is an incredible opportunity to work at WESH 2. This is the newsroom I interned and studied from. It is very exciting to work side-by-side with the people I watched every day.” DeAugustino said. “I’m familiar with Central Florida traffic and am glad to help viewers maneuver through their morning commute.”

“Jaclyn has the ability and experience to deliver updated traffic reports fast and accurately,” said Kirsten Wolff, news director of WESH 2. “Her presence and personality will shine on-air and in our newsroom.”

DeAugustino started at WLOS before moving to Cincinnati. She also was a Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader for two years during her stint.

She starts in Orlando on April 8.
