Weigel Broadcasting Launches Start TV Network

CBS Weigel broadcasting is launching a new diginet called Start TV in association with CBS Television stations.

The network will feature shows with female leads including The Closer, Medium, The Good Wife, Crossing Jordan, Cold Case, Profiler and The Division.

“We are excited to launch the Start TV Network with the CBS Television Stations,” said Neal Sabin, said vice chairman of Weigel Broadcasting Co.

CBS Stations including WCBS, KCBS, WBBM, KYW, KTVT, KPIX and others will air Start TV including all Weigel Broadcasting owned stations.

“We are pleased to partner with our friends at Weigel Broadcasting to launch Start TV,” said Peter Dunn, president of CBS Television Stations. “Our CBS Television Network primetime audience has enjoyed great success with procedural dramas for many years. We are excited to feature The Good Wife and many other compelling series in the Start TV line-up as a great companion to our CBS programming.”

The new network launches September 3.

Weigel broadcasting is responsible for MeTV.
