Weekend morning anchor and reporter Lauren Talarico is leaving Houston CBS affiliate KHOU after nine years.
Talarico announced the move on social media saying that her last day at the station will be on June 21 and she’s moving back to New York to be closer to family.
“The one thing this job can’t give me is my family,” Talarico wrote. “I’m leaving KHOU to move closer to them. I miss them and want my children to have the joy of those daily interactions.”

She started working at KHOU in 2014 after working as an anchor at WLTX in Columbia, S.C.
