‘Weather on the Go’ Climbs to New Heights in Columbus

By Mark Joyella

WSYX chief meteorologist Bill Kelly has done some entertaining out-of-the-studio weather forecasts–on a golf course, in a canoe on a river.

But the Columbus ABC station may have set a new bar with a “weather on the go” segment this week, that put Kelly on a rock climbing wall at a local gym.

Kelly climbed all over his forecast throughout the 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. newscasts, thanks to some planning by WSYX director of operations Matt Blinn and photographer Matt Shadle.
