Rachel Brown has been hired by Charlotte, N.C., NBC affiliate WCNC as an anchor and reporter.
Brown started her career at WBBM in Chicago where she worked as a field producer, web producer and writer. Her first on-air job was as a multimedia journalist at WBND in South Bend, Ind.
She told TVSpy she’s starting in June. News director Matt King confirmed Brown will anchor weekdays at 5:30 and be the nightside reporter at 11 p.m.
