WCCB-TV News Director Faces Shoplifting Charges

By Molly Stark Dean

WCCB-TV (Fox Charlotte, channel 18) news director, Ken White, faces three new shoplifting charges. The three misdemeanor larceny counts were filed Wednesday.

The news director since 1999 was first arrested Sunday morning after being accused of taking $79.24 worth of groceries from a local store. The items — potato chips, Deer Park bottled water, apples, and Cokes — were for White’s remote crew at the Panthers game. The order was usually covered with the station’s credit card.

White has been spotted taking items from the store without paying three times between Dec. 10-17, according to Police.
